The Lumina Guide

Understanding the art of slow communication.

The Philosophy of Time

Instant messaging creates anxiety. Lumina forces you to slow down. When you send a letter across our digital ecosystem, it takes 2 to 5 hours to arrive. This intentional delay mathematically mirrors physical mail, encouraging you to write thoughtful, long-form letters rather than rapid-fire text messages.

Algorithmic Matchmaking

When you visit the Network tab and click "Find Pals", our PostgreSQL backend runs a deep mathematical analysis on your profile. Using Jaccard Similarity and Full-Text Search, it compares your interests and biography against the entire ocean of users, returning a numeric Compatibility Score.

The Speed Bonus: High compatibility mathematically reduces your delivery timer! A 100% matched letter will arrive hours earlier than a randomly cast letter.

Casting to the Sea

Not looking for a specific match? You can write an "Open Letter" and cast it into the digital Sea. Anyone sailing through the Sea tab can stumble upon your letter and choose to claim it. Once claimed, a direct, private connection is formed.
